Sorry for not keeping up in a timely manner
Since school has started keeping up with training has been more difficult – I am definitely feeling free to switch days around to have more time / rest. I am more loosely sticking to the training plan – making sure I get in the right number of days of running / workouts – but I’m not too attached to the number of miles each running day except the long run for the week. I can definitely tell I am in better shape, which is exciting! I’ve started working on speed work and hope to get faster – I know my half time will be slow, but I have a 5k that I hope to do well in at the beginning of November. This coming week doesn’t have any speed work scheduled, so I’ll be replacing the 4.5 mile run this week with intervals tomorrow.
Here are the numbers:
- 1 NTC workout
- 2 days yoga (very light!)
- 15.28 miles total, 6.2 mile long run (a 10K!)
- 2 NTC workouts
- 1 day speed work
- 1 extra rest day (I woke up with a migraine- no way I was running!)
- 11.51 miles total, 7.5 mile long run – This is the farthest I’ve ever run and I feel super accomplished!
I’ve been taking a picture each day of training and posting it on instagram; you can follow me there if you want more frequent updates (which I’m sure you do )
Have a happy week!
